I was very excited to be recruited to join CAR early in its growth. I saw an opportunity to establish CAR as the hub in a rich network of partnerships across the hospital, the university, and the region, all focused on new programs of community-based research and training.

I designed new programs of ASD training and research when CHOP received supplemental Funding for the Leadership and Education in Neuro-developmental and Related Disabilities.
ASERT Director
I oversaw the projects of regional partners addressing a broad range of needs for the Autism Services, Education, Research & Training Collaborative
Co-Leader, Pennsylvania Act Early Team
I created a state team for Pennsylvania to promote early identification and intervention, hosted a regional summit, and gave keynote addresses to other state and regional teams.
AutismMatch Regional Research Registry
As PI for a two-year NIH grant to create an autism research registry - AutismMatch - . I led the team that developed the back-end database, and designed and launched the registry in April 2010.
NextSteps Parent & Professional Workshops
NextSteps introduces parents and practitioners to ASD identification and treatment. I led its re-development, and helped to launch the parallel NextSteps for Professionals workshop.
Established in 2007, the Center for Autism Research is a collaboration between The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and The University of Pennsylvania.
